ptownie is back with an all new summer poll to determine Provincetown’s best bars. We asked ptownie followers their favorite spots to grab a drink, and they cast their votes!

When it comes to the best Provincetown watering poll, who took the crown? Here are the results:

10. Purgatory

Part of the Gifford House complex that includes the Porchside Lounge and Purgatory Dance Club.

9. Tin Pan Alley

Consistently good live entertainment, this bar can be bustling at peak season. Smooth modern atmosphere.

8. Aqua Bar

Outdoors and right on the harbor, this is a bar with a view to take your breath away. You can also bring food over from the Aquarium Mall to go with your beer or cocktail.

7. Atlantic House

The A-House includes the Little Bar (where Tennessee Williams hung out, cruise bar), the Dance Club (disco), and the Macho Bar (Ptown’s original leather bar, known for risqué videos).

6. Strangers and Saints

Warm tavern atmosphere with appropriately named cocktails. Designed by Ken Fulk with a mural by John Dowd and the best wallpaper in town!

5. The Red Inn

One of the most upscale and well-regarded places around, the bar is large and has gorgeous harbor views.

4. Boatslip

This is the home of Provincetown’s famed Tea Dance.

3. Porchside Bar

A rotation of regular pianists/singers will entertain you in this cozy space.

2. The Squealing Pig

Irish pub with hearty food too; try the fish and chips or one of the curries.

1. Harbor Lounge

Intimate feel with comfortable sofas and chairs and a great view of the harbor. Fun cocktails, wine, and beer.
