North Atlantic White Whales: A Panel Discussion

April 26 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Provincetown Library

In honor of the third annual Moby-Dick Marathon Reading, the Provincetown Library and Center of Coastal Studies come together to bring in a special panel for a discussion about the North Atlantic Right Whale.

Moby-Dick Marathon at the Provincetown Public Library, bringing together over 120 participants to read Melville’s classic work aloud over three days for a total of 24 hours. The event​ honor​s​ Provincetown’s​ ​maritime and literary heritage and an international group of Melville​ enthusiasts and will include some staging of parts of the reading as well. Gays for Patsy: Annual Stomp

Gays for Patsy Annual Stomp (a Hoedown in Ptown): Annual LGBTQA+ (queer) spring hoedown featuring three and a half dances, five workshops, and a whole bunch of socializing. Go to for more information.

Birders: The Central Park Effect

April 28 from 7:00 pm at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater

WHAT presents Birders: The Central Park Effect, an entertaining profile of the birdwatching personalities of Central Park, an important stop for migrating birds on the Atlantic Flyway. Following the film, international birding travel leader David Clapp and Nick Dorian, an avid young birder, photographer, and PhD student at Tufts University will be part of a panel discussion led by WCAI’s Mindy Todd.
