Throughout January and February at The Provincetown Public Library
Beginning in January, the Provincetown Public Library will continue one of its most well-received initiatives, the Food for Fines program. Food for Fines enables patrons facing overdue fines to get a fresh start and directly benefit members of our community by donating food or personal care items in place of library late fees.

This month’s theme at the Library is The Cary Grant Film Festival. The selection this Wednesday is the 1937 film The Awful Truth. a screwball comedy concerning the machinations of a soon-to-be-divorced couple who go to great lengths to ruin each other’s romantic escapades as well as retain custody of a dog. Lots of silly fun!

As part of the Provincetown Film Art Series by the Provincetown Film Society and PAAM, this week’s selection is the 1984 Victor Nunez drama A Flash of Green. A small-town reporter on the rural Florida coast resists manipulation by corporate polluters and sides with an environmental activist.
