Where: The Crown & Anchor

The Crown & Anchor and Liz’s Cafe is hosting a 102 Mayflower Passengers dinner fundraiser for Provincetown 400 to support commemorative activities surrounding the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower Pilgrims’ first landing in Provincetown in 1620.  Guests at the dinner will be matched to one of the 102 Mayflower passengers who set sail from England and first landed in the “new world” in Provincetown Harbor.

The dinner starts with cocktails from 6pm-7pm featuring Jason Lance’s Boathouse Sea Farm oysters on the half-shell, grilled oysters and barbeque clams.  Dinner begins with a choice of either Peekytoe Crab salad or Wild Mushroom Risotto. The main course selections are Roasted Halibut or Chateaubriand. The dinner finishes with Aldeen’s Mayflower Cake of chocolate, caramel, cranberries and cream.  During dinner, guests will be entertained by drag performers from The Crown and Anchor:  The Ladies of the Night drag performance artists Roxy Pops, Liza Lott and Bang who will put their own “twist” on the story of the Mayflower Pilgrims landing in Provincetown.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards Provincetown 400 events in 2020 including a week-long visit in September 2020 by the Mayflower II replica, re-enactments of the signing of the Mayflower Compact, a tribute to the Wampanoag nation and their contributions to Provincetown, the visit of 1,500+ members of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants in September 2020, a fireworks spectacular on November 11, 2020 at the annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument.  The Provincetown 400 Task Force is a committee of the board of the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum.

Tickets are $150 per person, tables of 10 are being sold at $2020 and are available on the Provincetown 400 website.
