Okay, so you don’t have to bring insect repellant when you go to the Provincetown Theater for Cape Cod’s famed slam story hour featuring your friends and neighbors’ stories—and maybe even your own!

Inspired by radio’s famous Moth Story Hour, the Mosquito features a different topic for every event, so even if you’ve already been to one, there are new voices and new stories awaiting you!

The Provincetown Theater is proud to continue hosting the monthly storytelling slam through the end of 2019. Dates for this autumn are on the second Saturday of the next three months: October 12, November 9, and December 14.

WHAT ARE “STORY SLAMS”?
Storytellers from the audience prepare a 5-minute true story based on the
night’s theme. 10 storytellers are picked at random from the “mosquito net” to take a chance and “Bite It Live” on stage. Mosquito stories are told, not read. (Notes and props, however, are allowed.) Sign up early at the door. Special guest storytellers, musicians, and/or surprise hosts are likely–as is adult language and situations. There’s a cash bar in lobby, and drinks are allowed in the theater.
