Provincetown is My Constant Muse...

... sometimes nemesis and the place that I hold in my heart no matter where else I might be living or working. I make art for people who love Provincetown too and want to collect works that are infused with the art colony’s joie de vivre.

I have studied visual art at the Educational Center for the Arts, New Haven; Parsons School of Design, New York; School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM); Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown (FAWC).

During my student work at SMFA Boston (Diploma 1995), I explored filmmaking which unexpectedly resulted in over thirty acting roles locally, notably productions directed by David Kaplan (In the Summer House), Nathan Butera (Offseason, Patrick Falco (House of Blue Leaves) and Timothy Babcock (Drinking in America)from 2001 to 2014.

Returning to painting and drawing in 2015 was a full circle experience that remains vital and important. My work as an assistant at Berta Walker Gallery during this time of reemergence, surrounded by the works of Provincetown masters, cemented my commitment to making art.

I write for Artscope Magazine about the Provincetown art scene and love being a part of

Figure drawing is the ballet of art.
