Madeleine List of the Cape Cod Times reports that the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum will take over leadership of Provincetown 400 after the organization’s executive director, Lisa Giuffre, resigned Tuesday, according to a statement from Provincetown 400.

The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining the Pilgrim Monument and commemorating the history of the Mayflower Pilgrims, will also oversee events and fundraising for the 2020 celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s first landing in Provincetown, according to the statement.

Michael Glasfeld, chairman of the board of Provincetown 400, said Giuffre’s resignation came with “professionalism and decency,” but declined to say why she resigned. She served in the position for just over a year, he said.
