“The Waters Edge Cinema in Provincetown has a guest curator this month: local film provocateur John Waters.

Waters, who also serves as the Provincetown International Film Festival’s resident artist, has selected four of his favorite movies to screen on Fridays in August at the Waters Edge Cinema. The series kicks off Friday with the Chilean-Spanish drama “Gloria.” The dark comedy “World’s Greatest Dad,” starring Robin Williams, screens Aug. 11; Harmony Korine’s controversial “Spring Breakers” plays Aug. 18; and Spanish auteur Pedro Almodóvar’s 2016 film “Julieta” will be shown Aug. 25.”
