The Joy Project is a pop-up retail store next to the Provincetown Bookshop that offers access to local artists’ work, including paintings, photography, jewelry, leather goods, crafts, original T-shirts, beads from around the world… and free music classes. There is a small area where you can sit on pillows and hang out, and some evenings we will whip out the costumes and provide a space against our fabulous mural to take photos with friends,” says owner Tracy Kachtick-Anders. She plans to once again offer her “pay what you want” organic heirloom flowers. “The idea,” she says, “is just to have fun and to involve as much of the local artist community as possible in a colorful and casual setting. I’m sure there will be a fundraiser or two, since giving back to the community is important. Oh, and you can count on a pet chicken or two coming to visit!”
