PROVINCETOWN — The harbor will be dredged in December or early January, when a 20-inch-diameter pipe from the Barnstable County Dredge called the Cod Fish will pump sand from area east of MacMillan Wharf and move it about 1,500 feet to Court Street Landing as part of a beach nourishment program.

The purpose of the project, Harbormaster-Pier Manager Red McKinsey said, is to restore the sand at Court Street Landing, which has diminished after years of getting stuck in bulkheads.
