Peregrine Theatre Ensemble just announced its 2019 Main Stage Musical (drumroll, please) …. And it’s CABARET! Auditions will be held this spring in Boston and New York City, so watch this space for details.
Taken from a 1951 play I Am A Camera, Cabaret is set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power. The musical focuses on the nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, and revolves around American writer Cliff Bradshaw and his relationship with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles. The club serves as a metaphor for ominous political developments in late Weimar Germany.
As in previous years, you’ll be able to make a night of it by enjoying a three-course pre-show dinner at The Point Restaurant & Wine Bar , with seating by 6pm, show at 7:30pm (and they do manage to get you to the show on time!) Call 508-487-2365 for reservations.
And there’s still time to join sponsors like Cape Air, Truro Vineyard, Shui Spa, Cape Cod 5, the Berta Walker Gallery, and more to support this fantastic summer entertainment, some of the best musical theatre you’ll see anywhere… (Chicago and New York not excluded.)

But why “Peregrine”? Isn’t that a bird?
Peregrine White was the first child born to the Pilgrims in the New World while the Mayflower was anchored in Provincetown Harbor. The company spirit embodies that same adventure and passion of braving uncharted possibilities.
