    Date: 2024-01-04     Time: 7 PM : 0 minutes

Now in its 17th year, the Film Art Series brings art-house cinema and film conversations to Provincetown. Curated and hosted by Howard Karren, presented by Provincetown Film Society & Provincetown Art Association and Museum.

    WISE BLOOD

Thursday, January 4 @ 7 p.m. – Only Flannery O’Connor could have written this merciless story of the demented martyr Hazel Motes, who, disgusted by con artists in a small, postwar Southern town, turns himself into an evangelist of the Church of Christ Without Christ. And only John Huston could have adapted it, teetering, as he often did, between pathos and nihilism. Adapted from the novel by Flannery O’Connor.
