Spend an evening in one of Provincetown’s most treasured historic homes in support of EROSIONS, a new intergenerational community-dance project by Site-Specific Dances.
EROSIONS is an environmental dance project grounded in community participation. The project will include three types of participation: free movement workshops, public performances by participants throughout Provincetown’s varied landscapes, and a range of interviews with local residents, historians and environmental scientists. EROSIONS explores cultural erosions, and the erosion of the site itself. A new score by composer Steven Sametz will accompany the piece. Movement workshops will be led by Michael Spencer Phillips and a cast of four New York City-based dancers, including Lloyd Knight, international dance sensation and Principal Dancer with Martha Graham Dance Company .
Join us to enjoy drinks, seasonal fare, and hear more about the project from the creative team. An original artwork by famed artist, Jack Pierson will be up for auction at the event.
