Set in New York’s Cedar Bar in the 1940s and 1950s, the play examines the pivotal years in the artists life as he seeks advice and inspiration from his friends Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Jack Kerouac, Grace Hartigan, and David Amram, among others.
