Wipe the sand off your feet and come in for a drink; love is in the air at THE JACK OF HEARTS CLUB, and you have one more night in paradise at The Provincetown Theater with a free staged reading at August 9th at 7pm and 10pm.
It’s the last night of the summer of 1963 at The Jack of Hearts Club, a rowdy Provincetown bar overflowing with tourists during the peak season. Sonny is the club’s piano player, and his first summer in Provincetown is about to come to an end – which means he (along with almost everyone else) is preparing to return to life in the real world. As the community comes together for their traditional end-of-summer musical performance, everyone wants to figure out where they belong.
THE JACK OF HEARTS CLUB tells a story about community, belonging, and the human need for connection. Sometimes you have to come to Provincetown to figure out who you truly are — and sometimes you have to leave.
