As a singing marimbist, several composers have written pieces for Brian and he has performed this unique repertoire across the U.S. and Asia, most recently at the 2021 Percussive Arts Society International Convention.

He holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and The Boston Conservatory, and is a Marimba One endorsed artist.
