    Provincetown Lobster Pot Tree Lighting
    Date: 2024-11-30     Time: 5 PM : 0 minutes

The Lighting of the Lobster Pot Tree, is a Provincetown tradition to ring in the holiday season.

In 2004, artist Julian Popko designed the Lobster Pot Tree in Lopes Square to recognized the hard-working local lobstermen. The tree is built from real lobster traps and is decorated with lights and bows. At dusk, the community gathers to sing carols, drink hot cocoa and count down for the lights to be illuminated.  We thank the Popko family for their ongoing commitment to kicking off the holidays in Provincetown!

Free parking is available at McMillan Pier parking lot!
