Cape Cod’s longest running Bluegrass/Americana music festival, 9th Annual Vinegrass Music Festival, returns to Truro Vineyards.
What happens when you bring together Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon), Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth), Chad Staehly (Hard Working Americans), Adam Greuel (Horseshoes & Hand Grenades), Brian Adams (DeadPhish Orchestra) and Will Trask (Great American Taxi) – well it’s called THE HIGH HAWKS.This super group only gets together on special occasions and we are lucky to have them headline the 9th Vinegrass Music Festival.
After a 5 year hiatus, The Last Revel has reunited to produce new music with a revitalized appreciation for camaraderie and creativity. Now living in three different cities across the US, these three independently talented singer-songwriters bring together the sounds of Nashville TN, Minneapolis MN, & Bozeman MT to create Front Porch Americana soundscapes that are equally original as they are timeless. Drawing influence from their salt of the earth Midwest ethos the band’s songs so naturally blend the genres of Folk, Old Time String-Band and Indie Rock to create a sound that echoes the current heartbeat of America.
No stranger to the Vinegrass stage, TWISTED PINE, returns to the Truro Vineyards for the first time since 2016. In the gap, they have blazed a bright path, playing festivals and shows all over the country. With the addition of Anh Phung on flute, the jams and harmonies have only gotten sweeter.
Kicking off the festival is the founder & heartbeat of Vinegrass, Monica Rizzio’s Roundup. Drawing on her East Texas roots, Rizzio blends her outlaw country ethos with the saltiness only found on the sands of the Cape. The Washashore Cowgirl will be debuting her new band and setting the tone for the day as well as collaborating with the other bands.
