Want to rent a motorboat or 19-foot sailboat and just hang around in the harbor or head over to Long Point for a day at the beach? Head over to Flyer’s Boat Rentals. They also give boating lessons, provide moorings, and run the water-taxi out to Long Point. Dog Gone Sailing Charters is another great option.

    Fishing Charters

Ginny G (also offer private whale-watching), Ceejay, and Sea Salt Charters (also offers private whale-watching) are all located on MacMillan Pier.

    Moment Sailing Adventures

Now in its seventh season, Moment Sailing offers day-sails out of Provincetown’s West End. Captain Chris Bartick welcomes private guests (up to six per sail) aboard his beautiful boat, Moment for two-hour sails around the harbor and Long Point, or six-hour sails into Cape Cod Bay to Wood End Light and Race Point or out toward Wellfleet.

Sail Cape Cod (the Bay Lady)

Join Captain Bob Burns and the crew of the Bay Lady II for a memorable sail across Provincetown Harbor and into Cape Cod Bay. Depending on wind direction your two-hour sail will take you either across the Bay towards the Bluffs of Corn Hill or around Long Point Light at the tip of the Cape in the direction of Wood End Lighthouse.

    The Schooner Hindu

The Schooner Hindu is still being rebuilt after being damaged in 2019, but the company still offers day sails, sunset sails, and private charters in Provincetown from June through September or October weather depending. For the 2021 summer season, the Cutter Bloodhound is sailing in place of the Hindu. The original Bloodhound was built in 1874 and was one of the first yachts of the era built exclusively for racing, incorporating a narrow beam, cutter rig, and tall sail plan. She won every race she entered until she burned in a fire in the 1920s. This replica, built in the 1990s, has seventy feet of beautiful teak deck, a 22-foot retractable bowsprit, a 48-foot boom, and 3,500 square feet of sail, including a jackyard topsail.

    Whale-watching:

Affiliated with the Center for Coastal Studies, the Dolphin Fleet is the oldest whale-watching fleet on the East Coast. Learn about whales, seals, and other pelagic creatures, or just enjoy the sundeck on a beautiful day. Provincetown has gone from whaling to whale protection and we’re proud to be able to share that transformation with visitors.

SeaSalt Charters specializes in private whale-watching experiences, providing a unique opportunity to explore the whales’ feeding and nursing grounds on a private, comfortable boat with just you, your family, and/or your friends.

    Provincetown Yacht Club:

The club promotes boating, competitive sailing, good seamanship and good sportsmanship, and offers organized water activities and programs for standing membership as well as to visiting boaters.

    Kayaking and parasailing:

For kayaking, check out Provincetown Aquasports, and Flyer’s Boat Rentals. Provincetown Parasailing is located on MacMillan Pier.
