The holiday season will be extra special this year, as beloved comic genius Dina Martina will blanket Provincetown in yuletide merriment with THE DINA MARTINA CHRISTMAS SHOW. Miss Martina (a.k.a. “The Second Lady of Entertainment”) will be bringing her famed train wreck of a holiday show to the Paramount at the Crown & Anchor for the first time since 2018.

Light Bright Bike Ride on New Year’s Eve for on this annual fun, short bike ride along Provincetown’s Commercial Street. The Light Bright Bike Ride starts at 4:30 PM on December 31 right in front of the Public Library at 356 Commercial Street. The ride takes about 15 minutes plus 15 minutes for the awards ceremony. Stop by the library starting before the ride if you need help with decorations. We’ll have some lights, glow sticks, garlands, and other swag to help you bling out your bike.

Celebrate the arrival of the New Year with Fireworks high above Provincetown’s Harbor on New Year’s Eve.
Scheduled for 5:30pm, Fireworks are dependent on weather conditions and may be rescheduled in the event of adverse conditions.
The First Light Fireworks Celebration over the harbor – originally scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. – will now launch from MacMillan Pier at dusk on Saturday, December 31, and the best views for the fireworks are on the beach by the pier.

2023 Provincetown Polar Bear Plunge

On New Years Day 2023, January 1st, Provincetown will celebrate the sixth annual Polar Bear Plunge. On that day, an intrepid group of people will gather in the Johnson Street parking lot, collect T-shirts, listen to some carefully selected music spun by our DJ, Chris Racine, and learn about the important work of the Center for Coastal Studies. At noon, weather permitting, we will run, splash and plunge into the waters of Provincetown Harbor.
