Provincetown Bear Week 2024 Guide to Must-See Events!

Provincetown welcomes Bear Week for a special 8-day, annual get-together. Ptown’s clubs & orgs schedule events throughout the week for full days of fun, relaxation, community, & true vacation. Ptown’s cabaret shows, great restaurants, beaches, and daily gatherings at hotel pools all make this particular week one of the best Bear runs of the year!

Bear Week Provincetown Bears
Everyday July 13 – July 20

Bear Week Provincetown Bears was created in 2001 by John Burrows and the PtownBears organization to celebrate the Bear community, its admirers and those who just love hanging with the Bear community. It is a week of parties, BBQ s, charity events, lazy days at the beach or relaxing at one the 3 pools in town. Events are spread out across the entire town with each venue having different events throughout the week. Look at the Provincetown Bears Events!

Bear Week Tea Dance at The Boatlsip
Everyday July 13 – July 20
4pm – 7pm

It’s 4 pm and time for Tea. Portable bars replace lounge chairs, a line queues up out front and Resident DJ Maryalice, a Provincetown favorite for over 25 years drops the needle on the first song of a supercharged 3 hour set. Come as you are and expect the unexpected at Provincetown’s biggest outdoor dance party. Brimming with spontaneous excitement, you never know who or what you’ll see. An historically important and revered institution for almost 50 years, the legendary Tea Dance at The Boatslip is a “must do” event for first timers and seasoned visitors alike. Bear Market Provincetown will be at the Ptown Inn this year over 2 days, Sunday July 14th and Monday the 15th (10am to 4pm both days), in the Harborview Room on the First Floor of the Hotel. We have a great group of vendors from all over the US as well as lots of Local talent from around the Cape. (the second Bear Market will be at the Crown and Anchor on Thursday the 18th)

Noodle Night! Bear Week

A popular specialty night normally held during the Fall and Winter, the Governor Bradford adds this townie favorite for Noodle Night! Bear Week Provincetown attendees. Why not add something different to your eclectic week of meal choices. The Alley Rats will be playing LIVE from 7-9pm, followed by karaoke with hostess Liza Lott afterwards.

On Wednesday July 17th, the fun continues with our annual Bear Week fundraiser Come & Scrum from 12:00pm – 3:00pm at Harbor Lounge. The theme this year is Under The Sea!! We will have amazing raffles prizes, shots and of course rugby boys!!

14th Provincetown-season performing, and 4th season curating live music in town, by headlining the Mike Flanagan’s Bear Week Town Hall Debut with a 3-vocalist billing, featuring his legacy of collaboration with Lisa Bello, Sheree Marcelle, and Lauren Scales!
This concert is a culmination of sorts. In addition to it being Season 14 for Mike, it’s his 17th consecutive Bear Week! Bear Week was Mike’s introduction to Provincetown back in 2007, and it has become like a family reunion; and what better way and time to celebrate all of these anniversaries than a Town Hall debut!
