A Story of Song and Strength: 11th Annual Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival

    June 16, 2025

Each June, as the light lingers over the dunes of North Truro, a wave of harmony sweeps through the Cape. The Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival (CCWMF) is more than an evening of performances—it’s a celebration of creativity, resilience, and care. Now in its 11th year, the festival continues to shine a spotlight on women artists while raising vital support for neighbors facing cancer.

Founded in 2012 by local musician Sarah Swain, the festival began as a tribute to her mother, who courageously faced ovarian cancer. What started as a personal gesture has become a regional tradition—where music meets meaning, and voices join in chorus for a cause.

“All of this started because of my mom,” Swain says. “And now, every year, we gather to uplift others. This festival is proof that joy and healing can come from even the hardest places.”

All proceeds benefit the Cape Wellness Collaborative, a nonprofit founded by Swain that provides integrative therapies and nourishing meals to Cape & Islands residents confronting cancer. Massage, acupuncture, nutritional counseling, yoga—it’s care designed to ease the burden and lift the spirit.

The evening will be emceed by the incomparable Zoe Lewis, whose wit and warmth have become a signature part of the festival’s energy. The 2025 lineup promises a rich blend of folk, soul, jazz, reggae, and Americana, featuring acclaimed and emerging artists:

    • Zola Simone

    • Natalia Bonfini Band

    • Sarah Burrill

    • Mozelle

    • Drumma Queens

    • Jordan Renzi & Lydia Parkington

    • Alice Malone

    • Roxanne Layton

    • Monomoy Middle School Chorus

As the sun sets behind the stage and melodies fill the salty air, CCWMF continues to stand as more than a music festival. It’s a call to celebrate women’s voices, to honor personal stories, and to give—generously and joyfully—back to the community.

Because on this stage, every note counts.

    Tickets available.
