Great Music on Sundays @5 Launches with a Retro Benefit for WOMR

    June 9, 2025

Great Music on Sundays @5 opens its 27th season with a spectacular throwback event: The 1950s Radio Show… LIVE! Join us on Sunday, June 22 at 5PM at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House in Provincetown for a musical time-travel experience that recreates the golden age of radio.

This one-of-a-kind concert transports you to an imaginary 1959 soundstage, complete with an ON AIR light, vintage radio jingles, dramatic sound effects, commercials from the era, and hit songs performed live by a stellar cast. It’s a mix of nostalgia and fun, brought to life by some of Provincetown’s favorite performers.

The show features Frankie Campofelice, Arian Carlos, Zack Johnson, Madison Mayer, Kevin McMahon, Denise Page, Carolyn Rogers, Jeff Tagen, Hilarie Tamar, and Ryan Van Buskirk, with Sam Sewell on radio effects and Kami Lyle on trumpet. John Thomas, founder and producer of the series, returns as music director and pianist.

This year’s opening concert is also a special benefit for WOMR 92.1 & 91.3 FM, Cape Cod’s beloved community radio station. WOMR’s diverse programming—from opera to reggae to public affairs—has served as a vital platform for local voices for nearly 50 years. Half of all ticket sales will be donated directly to the station.

General admission is $30, limited priority seating is $50, and youth ages 17 and under attend for free. Senior discounts are available. The venue is fully accessible and now features state-of-the-art air conditioning, making it the coolest place to be on a hot summer afternoon.

Tickets are available at WOMR.org. Arrive early, bring your friends, and get ready to go ON AIR with an unforgettable live show. It’s the perfect kickoff to a season full of music, creativity, and community in Provincetown.

The Great Music on Sundays @5 series continues weekly through September 14, with a final concert on December 6 during Holly Folly weekend. For the full schedule and updates, visit ptownmusic.com.
