We’ll also be raffling 2 more tickets to Ani DiFranco’s upcoming show at Payomet. Artist Melissa Wilkinson, who just showed at Art Gaysel and On Center Gallery, is donating a piece of art to raffle. Coast Provincetown is donating 2 scooters for 24 hours to raffle. Partial Raffle proceeds will go Abortion Access Front.
Like his collection of Provincetown art, Anton Napi Van Dereck was a “uniquer.” Although born in Chicago, Napi was conceived in Provincetown on Captain Jack’s Wharf and even bumped into Bette Davis while in his mother’s womb at the Barnstormers’ Theater.
Right here, shadowed in the midst of our highly visible art community, tucked away in a common, peculiar Provincetown way, we have nurtured a self-taught artist, unknown to the public and the world: Michael J. Andrews.
