LGBT Arts & Bohemia of PTOWN
October 27, 2022 at Crown & Anchor
The Generations Project is back with our annual intergenerational LGBTQ+ storytelling show. We bring together all generations of LGBT people to share stories as a way to foster community. This year’s theme is Arts & Bohemia.
Provincetown’s history as a bohemian and gay sanctuary “the island of misfit toys” during times in our history when perversions and differences were dangerous to express openly is well known. Our storytellers, long-time frequenters and residents of Ptown will tell stories about their lives that touch on these themes.
These stories will be included in our LGBT history anthology that is part of our permanent exhibit at the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum entitled “An Anecdotal Anthology of LGBTProvincetown” where we chronicle our history of the last century through first-hand account and archival material.”
Spooky Bear Weekend is an opportunity to “do” Halloween right for ptownie.
Spooky Bear Weekend
Spooky Bear Weekend is an opportunity to “do” Halloween right—Bear style but for everyone! Northeast Ursamen will be Grimm’s Beary Tales with a weekend of revelry, costumes, and some treats!
A Walk in the Woods
But there are quieter spots too. Places you can get away and reconnect with nature. There’s swimming off the breakwater, or a sunbaked day at Long Point. Sunset at Race Point is quiet celebration of shifting colors and glowing bonfires, the former often hosted by gaggles of gray seals.
My personal favorite, however? Beech Pond.
Provincetown Coffee and Tea Guide
