Welcome to CAMP Wanafrolik: Frolic Weekend 2025 in Provincetown

    June 9, 2025

Every summer, Provincetown becomes the joyful backdrop for Frolic Weekend—also known as Men of Color Weekend—a vibrant, affirming celebration for queer men of color from across the country. This multi-day event is more than a party—it’s a community reunion, a celebration of joy and identity, and a one-of-a-kind experience filled with friendship, fun, and freedom.

This year’s theme is “Summer Camp”, reimagined through a queer lens as CAMP Wanafrolik. Think of it as camp for grownups—with all the charm, games, and bonding you remember, and none of the rules you didn’t. When you arrive, you’re assigned to one of four playful houses—Kin, Zeal, Allure, or Escapade—based on your vibe and spirit. The house system makes it easy to connect, compete, and collaborate in a camp-style experience that’s as silly as it is meaningful.

Over the course of six days, Frolic offers a dynamic mix of events: pool parties, beach takeovers, dance nights, sunset cruises, yoga, film screenings, intimate panels, and daytime mixers. From high-energy club nights to relaxed morning brunches, there’s something for every kind of Frolicer. Whether you’re splashing at the Olympic-style pool party or dancing under the stars at a Met Gala–inspired ball, CAMP Wanafrolik is designed to be unforgettable.

This weekend is also about substance. Community conversations around sex, love, body image, relationships, and liberation are woven into the program, offering safe space for dialogue and learning. There are also creative workshops—from crafting to journaling—that encourage deeper reflection and artistic expression. The goal? To leave not just with memories, but with new insight, skills, and a stronger connection to yourself and others.

And of course, it’s all set in Provincetown—America’s most beloved LGBTQ+ beach town. Ptown offers the perfect backdrop: walkable streets, sandy beaches, queer history, and a welcoming local community. Many businesses offer discounts to Frolic attendees, and the town rolls out the rainbow-colored welcome mat all weekend long.

Frolic is not just a weekend away—it’s a celebration of queer Black and brown joy, resilience, and love. It’s a space where everyone is invited to be fully themselves, surrounded by people who see and celebrate them. You don’t have to come with friends—you’ll leave with chosen family.

Whether you’re a Frolic first-timer or a seasoned summer camper, this year’s theme promises the most spirited and soul-filling gathering yet. Get your camp gear ready, pack your brightest swimwear, and come prepared to make memories that will last long after the summer sun sets.

CAMP Wanafrolik awaits. Let the games begin.
