The Jack of Hearts Club

The Provincetown Theater proudly presents the world premiere of The Jack of Hearts Club, a new musical by local composer Jon Richardson. Set in a 1963 Provincetown gay bar, this heartfelt, music-filled story follows a chosen family of friends, lovers, and divas as they prepare for a final summer cabaret—each facing life-changing decisions with grace, humor, and heart.

Located on the beautiful grounds of the Truro Vineyards, Vinegrass will produce our 11th annual festival on October 5th. This intimate festival features two stages, the full array of Truro Vineyards wines and spirits, the Blackfish Food Truck, Wellfleet Oysters, and Lewis Bros. ice cream.

Vorelli’s: A Provincetown Classic of Flavor and History
On Provincetown’s bustling Commercial Street, where galleries, cafés, and century-old storefronts crowd together in a kaleidoscope of Cape Cod charm, one landmark restaurant has been serving both history and hospitality in equal measure: Vorelli’s. The building itself, perched at 226-228 Commercial Street, has been part of the town’s cultural and commercial fabric for nearly a century and a half. Constructed in 1880 in the Second Empire style, its mansard roof and narrow façade echo the architectural trends of the late nineteenth century, when Provincetown was a booming fishing port with a growing tourist economy. Anchoring Provincetown in Tradition Since 1795
Tucked just off Commercial Street at 2 Masonic Place, the modest wooden building of King Hiram’s Lodge is one of Provincetown’s quiet treasures. While tourists pass by on their way to cafés, galleries, and the beach, this unassuming hall holds more than two centuries of stories. Founded in 1795, King Hiram’s Lodge is not only Provincetown’s oldest fraternal organization but also the town’s oldest continuously operating institution, linking generations of fishermen, merchants, artists, and neighbors through the rituals and fellowship of Freemasonry. An Evening of Craic: “Trad” at the Cape Rep Theater
Craic is, of course, an Irish term, connotating a fun, enjoyable time; and that’s precisely what the Cape Rep delivers in comedian-turned-playwright Mark Doherty’s Trad, a hilariously funny and occasionally thoughtful look at generational priorities, love, and the passing of time. As the name suggests, this play is about tradition—but also about much more, mostly about loss (of time, of body parts, of culture, of family).
