Bears and Otters and Cubs, oh my! Nina West, The Miss Congeniality of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11, is ready to get herself locked up tight in a Big ol’ Bear Trap. Join Nina West for a night of laughs, comedy and song as she explores her own journey to being a part of our family of bears. This Broad Has Come A Long Way!
Currently starring as Edna Turnblad in the national tour of Hairspray she’s been traveling across the United States for the last year spreading the word about being your true self and loving the skin you’re in! An Ohio native, she’s the founder of the Nina West Foundation and has raised more than $2 million dollars to support LGBTQ+ kids and families. Now, she’s coming to Ptown to help celebrate Bear Week!
Bear Week Wiener Roast

Party with the bears during a very special Bear Week Wiener Roast celebration hosted by Nina West of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Star of the National Touring Production of Hairspray, Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims, and Massachusetts State Senator Julian Cyr.
Featuring endless hot dogs, Lewis Brother’s Ice Cream, cocktails from Tito’s and Provincetown Brewing Company’s beers, this event takes place at the stunning Land’s End Inn overlooking the Bay in Provincetown’s West End.
2022 ASGCC Provincetown 5K Run/Walk
Sunday July 17, 2022 at Harbor Hotel at 8:30am
Now in its 14th year, the ASGCC Provincetown 5K Run/Walk is a great way to support AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod and enjoy the beauty of Provincetown in the summertime. This event raises funds to keep ASGCC services free for everyone. Please register to run or walk. You’ll get access to digital tools to make fundraising a breeze.
Secret Garden Tour
Sunday July 17, 2022 at PAAM from 10:00am to 3:00pm
The Annual Secret Garden Tour welcomes nearly 500 visitors for a self-guided journey through private residential gardens in Provincetown. Tickets include access to a free parking lot, admission to gardens, and admission to view the exhibitions in the Museum. We are incredibly grateful to the homeowners that help raise money for PAAM by sharing their beautiful oases with us.

Rescue Service Drill Reenactment
Returning for the first time since the pandemic, the weekly Beach Apparatus Drill is back at the Old Harbor Life Saving Station!
Each Thursday at 5PM during July and August, visitors can step back in time to witness this historic reenactment as it was performed between 1812 and 1915.
Volunteers dress in period costume as 1902 ‘Surfmen’ to demonstrate a rescue at sea by breeches buoy, consisting of a pair of canvas breeches fastened inside a ring buoy and suspended from a life line and pulley system between the stranded ship and shore.
Surfmen fire a projectile from a small cannon using black powder. A 12-foot wooden crotch is erected on the shore to suspend the cable-tow and breeches buoy above the surf, carrying the shipwrecked victim to safety.
The demonstration lasts about one hour and is the only one of its kind in the United States.
Old Harbor Life Saving Station is located at Race Point Beach at the end of Race Point Road in the Cape Cod National Seashore.
